MYP Language & Literature teacher for grades 7, 8, 9; and Individuals & Societies teacher for grades 6 and 9. Grade level leader for grade 9, 2021-2022. and supervisor for Personal Project and Extended Essay. Domain A chairperson for CIS self study year, 2020-2021, and official visit in October 2021. Key achievements include introduction of Project-Based Learning units, to allow students to better access their learning and showcase their knowledge in creative and personalized ways. Also created and presented a self-initiated professional development session for all secondary teaching staff regarding hybrid learning and the hybrid classroom.

Completed a 14-week teaching practicum under the mentorship of an English Language Arts teacher at a project-based learning charter high school. Responsibilities included working one-on-one with advisory students as they created and worked through grade-level projects and English and history projects; assisting with English classes as needed; and solo teaching a U.S. Civil War and Reconstruction class to 20 students

Lead teacher for weekly Design & Publishing class for 10 to 20 secondary students. Created curriculum and trained students on InDesign desktop publishing software, as well as journalism/writing techniques. Partner teacher taught photography and Photoshop. Final product each year was the annual yearbook for the entire school, where each student successfully designed and created at least 10 pages.
